This page contains reports on cross country ski conditions in Montana. The places I frequent often are listed below along with some others.
If you have a report from an area I did not cover, send it to me and I'll try to post it.
The beautiful winter of 07/08 continues. The Northern Rockies got new snow on top of the firm base and more snow is in the forecast.
In some areas you wouldn't know it was spring.

Back Country Ski Conditions
Avalanche forecasts and conditions at the Glacier Country Avalanche Center. Forecasts are usually posted on Friday and Tuesday. |
Monday March 31: The snowpack has consolidated and windy weather and new wind deposited powder has resulted in increased avalanche danger in some areas. Backcountry skiing is great. Crust skiing in the valleys is supreme with many areas having powder conditions on top. Select your skiing area carefully and enjoy the best part of this backcountry winter.

Snow's pretty deep in the mountains and Saturday's storm blanketed the plains again!
