What is RSS?
RSS is an easy way for you to keep updated automatically on Web sites you like. Instead of checking your favorite Web sites to see if they've written a new article or feature, you can use RSS (which stands for Really Simple Syndication) to get them to tell you every time they have something new. Ralph's Blog at Eagle River Nordic now offers RSS feeds (or channels)
How can I make use of RSS?
Generally, you need to use the most recent version of your Web browser or have a program called a News Reader. This will display RSS feeds from your chosen Web sites on your computer. All you have to do is choose which RSS feeds you want, for instance the RSS feed of Ralph's Blog.
How do I get a News Reader?
There are a range of different News Readers available or you can use many of the more recent versions of your favorite Web browser.
Probably the easiest way to receive RSS Feeds is to bookmark the RSS Feed page in your browser.
Want a Notification of New Posts by Email?
Use "Feed My Inbox," a free web site that will let you sign up to receive an email notification of new feeds. For more information go to Feed My In Box - How Does it Work?
Dedicated News Readers
Some folks, though, prefer to use a dedicated News Reader. Different News Readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to take this into account when you make your choice.
