The wax pocket on the 812 construction is long and flat. The result is better grip with less effort and less drag for faster glide. The base material is new with Diamond Tuned Grind for Plus and a finer Diamond Tuned Grind for the cold with less graphite. The 812 Classics will require grip factor and drag measurement for proper fit. The reduced length concept shortens overall length by 3 cm and applies the 3D Speed tip and tail to both Plus and Cold models. Choose Plus for most hard track, hard wax and klister conditions and Cold for dry snow, softer track. The RCS Cold has a new cold base for better wax absorption. Proper fit of the New 812 RCS Classic will require Grip Factor and Drag measurement. Flex will not do it!

SRG Test Summary
General: The Plus is a Type C distribution with a rectangular wax pocket. So is the Cold -- but with a lower camber.
Glide: Both the Plus and Cold models have record glide indexes due to reduced drag.
Grip: The low flat rectangle of the wax pocket is easier to kick down and more forgiving of a late kick -- the Cold has about 5 cm shorter wax pocket but increase grip of .76.
Drag: Wax it right and with proper fit -- drag is near zero.
